For LAN, AV, MDU, FFTH/FFTD and most other applications, high-quality mechanical connectors are usually the preferred choice by integrators as they have lower initial investment costs; and are faster/easier to terminate in the field. These are professional-level, premium-performance connectors with very low terminated signal loss and reflection. These connectors provide fast terminations comparable in time to RJ45 termination.
