The IC-8AW in-ceiling speaker offers trademark MartinLogan sound in areas where humidity prevents installation of conventional speakers. The conformal coating applied to the crossover maximizes water-resistant properties and the grille is specially coated to add material stability during extended periods of exposure to moisture. A robust 8-inch woofer provides a powerful and dynamic low-frequency performance.

IP54 Certified All-Weather - The IC8-AW and IC3-AW are designed specifically for all-weather applications and Features numerous design considerations ideal for outdoor and other high-moisture applications, such as covered patios and bathrooms. Each crossover has a conformal coating to maximize water-resistant properties and special assembly techniques ensure that all driver attachment points on the face of the speakers are completely sealed to remove the risk of moisture penetration.
Micro-Perforated Grilles - Installer Series speakers Features ultra-low profile, paintable, micro-perforated grilles with no visible bezel for a near invisible integration into any wall or ceiling. A series of powerful magnets hidden inside the speaker quickly secure grilles into place, reducing the risk of warping or damage during installation. To match modern aesthetics, optional square grilles are available for most in-ceiling models (excludes all-weather versions).
Robust Mounting-Lock System - A simple, yet robust mounting-lock system allows quick, trouble-free installation. Pocketed screw holes help hold the drill steady, making installation a snap. When not in use, mounting locks are held securely within a self-contained housing. When moved into place, they couple the chassis firmly to the ceiling or wall, increasing the rigidity of surfaces. If ever removed, the locks retract and latch back in their housings. Each speaker includes a full-size installation template featuring quick-reference instructions, and die-cut guides for marking the cutout hole.
