The Mechanical Chime Dongle is intended to be installed in situations where the power source is not supplying the expected voltage to the ADC-VDB750 doorbell camera, and that's resulting in a rattling/humming sounds from a mechanical chime (e.g., after a button press).
If the mechanical chime is behaving normally after installation of the ADC-VDB750, the Mechanical Chime Dongle is not needed.
