- 125 watt PoE budget with a switching capacity of 96 Gbps
Overview
The AVPro Edge AC-MXNET-SW12 fits into the MXnet ecosystem as a fast-switching, low-latency, 12-port network switch perfectly sized for basic systems. Four 10 Gbps SFP+ uplink ports facilitate high-bandwidth core network connectivity plus auto uplink and link aggregation to any AC-MXNET-SW12/24/48 switch. This makes it ideal for large-scale AV-over-IP deployments and provides flexible, low-cost extension options for planned or emergency system expansion.
Configurable through MXNet Mentor software, the AC-MXNET-SW12 leverages the network operating system developed by AVPro Edge for the AC-MXNET-SW24 and AC-MXNET-SW48 network switches to analyze multicast packetization and optimize switch speed for data throughput. Like all AVPro Edge switches, the AC-MXNET-SW12 Supports IGMP Snooping and Quality of Service for smooth and reliable audio/video stream transmission. It is preconfigured for plug-and-play simplicity with the MXnet ecosystem.
Features
- Eight x 1 Gbps copper Ethernet/PoE+ ports support high-bandwidth audio and video data transmission
- Four 10 Gbps SFP+ uplink ports provide 40 Gbps link aggregation to any AC-MXNET-SW12/24/48 switch
- 125 watt PoE budget with a switching capacity of 96 Gbps
- 71.4 Mpps forwarding rate optimizes packet passthrough for MXnet AV-over-IP performance
- Fast Switching – Virtually undetectable, two seconds or less source-to-source switching to endpoints with no content-free black frames
- Low Latency – A/V onset timing of 70 ms or less is below the threshold of human perception. MXnet SW series switches integrated into the MXnet Ecosystem average system latency at around 35 ms
- IAVP (Intelligent A/V Processing) – Each network switch module subset affecting multicast processing has been carefully re-engineered. IGMP, Jumbo Frames, Spanning Tree, and multicast filtering are fully optimized for efficient network transmission.
- MXnet NOS (Network Operating System) – Multicast CPU utilization has been completely reworked for high efficiency. Processor loads never exceed 40%, even when the AC-MXNET-SW24 is fully populated. System boot times average
